Architectural Renderings Design House | Ferry Floating Spa in Montreal

The famous ferry that once carried passengers across the river, was the first Art Center to travel during the Expo 67 in Montreal. After two years of renovation and redesign of Sid Lee, Bota Bota this famous ship has been transformed into a floating spa where guests can receive treatments of relaxation and enjoy the view from the Old Port of Montreal.

The ship had suffered considerable damage to its hull and it took two years of renovations on the mainland to transform the old raft / theater in a relaxing spa client. As the only spa to float and not travel over water, the engines were removed to give way to the locker room guest and the infrastructure was added to treatment rooms, pools, offices, cafeteria, relaxation rooms and much more.

Rooms on the lower decks are kept dark and quiet to give guests a quiet and cozy for the rest. As guests travel closer to the upper deck, open spaces with more light, with a greater connection with nature and the surrounding waters. More than 650 portholes were added through prefabricated metal panels in many places to provide more light and the texture of the boat.
