Architectural Renderings House-Amazing Namba Park With Roof Garden

Namba Parks, a massive retail and office compund in Osaka, Japan, totally blasts away the boring stereotype of what a mall is supposed to look like.
Built in the footprint of the old Osaka baseball stadium, the awesome development, which was completed in 2003 by the Jerde Partnership, has an eight level rooftop garden that spans several city blocks and features tree groves, rock clusters, cliffs and canyons, lawns, streams, waterfalls, ponds and even space to grow veggies.
Namba Parks was conceived when Osaka Stadium closed down, presenting a great redevelopment opportunity for a new commercial district right next to the Namba Train Station, which is just one stop away from Kansai Airport.

Since it’s one of the first places that visitors to the city might see, owner Nankai Electric Railway asked the Jerde Partnership to envision the new development as a gateway that would redefine Osaka’s identity. Jerde designed Namba Parks as a huge green space and an oasis amidst Osaka’s dense urban streets.
The entire development includes a 30 story office tower and adjacent mall. Right below the park, a gradiated “canyon” carves a path through the mall, as they stroll past shops, entertainment spots and dining venues. Different flavors of restaurants can be found on the 6th floor, and shops are located on the 2nd through 5th floors. There are also terraces located both on the rooftop and amidst the canyons, an amphitheater for live shows, and space for small personal vegetable gardens and wagon shops.

Architectural Renderings House-Luxurious Grid Modular Home in Sao Paulo

Designed by the Brazilian firm forte, gimenes & marcondes ferraz ARQUITETOS, Casa Grelha, or Grid House, stands up on stilts in a beautiful valley surrounded by a large swath of native forest that is permanently protected.
Placed in the hills outside of Sao Paulo, this beautiful home consisting of timber beam units formed into a grid. The gardens, walkways, green roofs, and pavilions weave in between the family rooms, creating a direct connection with the surrounding landscape.
The Grid House sits on a parcel of land where walking paths converge, leading away to the jungle and off towards hill tops with views. This protected little valley comprises about 16 acres and it is the only part of the land that has been built on out of 53.24 hectares.

Less of a house and more of an open garden, the Grid House is an experiment in connecting with nature. Green roofs, water features, pools, covered pavilions and small gardens become just as much a part of the house as the bedrooms and the kitchen.
The 5.5 m x 5.5 m x 3 m modular grids of timber beams form the main house, which includes six bedrooms, the owner’s suite, living areas, and a large kitchen. Located away from the main house are tennis courts, the maids cottages, and a garage.
Due to the naturally damp conditions of the area, the one-story luxury eco house was built up on pillars to keep it off of the ground. Grids that aren’t used for living areas are used as walkways or even left completely open, to allow visitors to see the ground below and the surrounding forest.

Architectural Renderings House-Fascinating Garden City K66 in Slovenia

Designed by OFIS Architects, the building may seem like one continuous, cohesive structure, but its pixelated look stems from the fact that its actually a series of 10m x 10m units stacked together like legos.
The smart modular design affords tons of flexibility, and with spots of green throughout and a lush central park. This vibrant mixed use development for Ljubljana, Slovenia combines modular housing and green space.
Garden City K66 is divided into two layered volumes. It was house public programs and offices and upper floors that will be residential apartments.

The stepped design of the upper floors creates niches where rooftop gardens and terraces  can be placed. At the base, units are separated to create open squares that intermingle with the external plaza.
The modular grid affords the same kind of flexibility and adaptability that a shipping container structure might. This way, the distribution of programs can change quite easily according to the needs of the complex.
OFIS found that with 10m x 10m modules could be the optimal amount of space for all of the different programs such as housing, public, office, service, and garage.

Architectural Renderings House-Fascinating Habana Outpost as Eco Restaurant in Brooklyn

Open from Earth Day to Halloween every year, the Habana Outpost in Fort Greene, Brooklyn has evolved over time to include many green design strategies, and it’s working to help the surrounding community as well. The Habana Outpost, which started in 2005, features a $40,000 solar installation on its outdoor patio.
The array is grid-connected and feeds in power to surrounding buildings when the Outpost’s power demands are low. Over the years, customers have put in their two cents about other projects the eco-eatery could work on to make it more sustainable.
The restaurant has set up a bike-powered blender, a rainwater collection system, composting and recycling stations, efficient lighting, compostable plates and silverware, a garden, and wheatboard panels inside the restaurant.

They also have a fascinating solar chandelier that uses sunlight focusing panels mounted outside the store to suck in light through fiber optic cables.
The owner of the restaurant is Sean Meenan said that the restaurant also works to help kids and organizations around the community through donations and activities that take place on site. Meenan regularly gives tours of the restaurant to groups, and a Kid’s Corner offers regular projects and programs to educate kids on the environment.
Habana Outpost also supports the Urban Studio Brooklyn program, which offers design/build experience for NYC architecture students.

Architectural Renderings House-Magnificent Green Tree Home in Bulgaria

Situated in Zvezditsa, Bulgaria on a reclaimed illegal waste dump, this striking Large Home Tree is an experiment in self-sufficient housing that responds to its site and draws on local resources for all of its needs.
The Home Tree concept was born from the house’s incorporated technology and Bignatov Studios‘ organic design approach. The home features a boxy frame that maximizes living space while an abundance of windows maximize light.
The architects at Bignatov Studio developed an unusual wall and roof motif that depict a tree branching out and taking root. The symbolism is well justified granted how the home extracts energy from the earth, collects rainwater, and harvests solar power to sustain itself.

The project takes advantage of its site by maximizing solar exposure, incorporating a solar-thermal system, and incorporating lots of custom windows. A ground-source heat pump heats and cools the home efficiently by drawing on six deep wells.
The glazed roof sloops inwards, collecting rainwater and providing different levels of solar exposure for plants. The garden literally hovers over the residents’ heads.
A large greenhouse on top the home was born from the owner’s desire to grow a winter garden. The façade’s design sits somewhere between organic and structural, depicting a tree on the front and a root system on the sides.

Architectural Renderings House-Unique Flower Tower With 380 Potted Plants Facade

Designed by extremely talented architect and green wall artist Edouard François, the apartment lies behind a wall of breezy potted bamboo plants, making it look a lot like a giant green hedge.
Not like the another residents ulding that put out a few potted plants on their balconies, the Flower Tower lining 380 potted plant in their entire facade.
Even though the actual building is two tones of grey and quite drab, the bamboo adds a bright, fresh excitement to the whole exterior. And imagine living inside one of the apartments like seeing a little forest outside your window every day with an exhilarating view of Paris right behind it to boot.

So it no surprise that Jonathan Glancey of The Guardian called the Flower Tower “one of the best places to live in Paris. The hardy and rapid growing bamboo plants are lined in rows and sit in 1.2-meter-high white flowerpots.
What makes the building look even crazier is that the pots appear to just be sitting precariously on narrow ledges with no rails, ready to take a tumble to the sidewalk or right on top of some unsuspecting pedestrian’s head. But luckily the danger is merely an illusion since the planters are actually embedded right into the structure.

Designed by Reclaimed Fir House, the Biosphere Sustainability Centre in Gananoque, Canada become eco education centers which catch our eye. The eco education have features exhibition and conference facilities, office space, a market hall and artisan studios as well as a plethora of green building strategies.
Renewable energy will be harvested from a variety of sources while sustainable landscaping and a green roof will round out the project.
The 2.8 acre eco education center will be built near the Thousand Islands in Gananoque. Hopes that the center will generate new cultural, social, economic and environmental activity for the entire region. In total, project will comprise almost 14,700 sq m (148,000 sq ft) and include program space for exhibitions, conferences, offices, artisan studios and market retail.

Part of the goal for the building is to demonstrate to the public how renewable energy from the earth, wind, sun, water and biomass can be used to provide clean heating, cooling, electricity and waste management.
Solar panels mounted on the roof will harvest the sun’s energy while providing shade, the canopy’s shiny bottom surface reflects the surrounding landscape, and the roof also serves to channel and collect rainwater. An innovative atmospheric canopy that hovers above the building will be the centre’s most striking feature and will serve multiple purposes.

The centre also boasts two green roofs with walk-out gardens, a walk-through biowall that cleans and recycles the air, and sculptural sun shades alongside the building.

Architectural Renderings House-Attractive Xylophone Bicycle Bridge for Seoul

Design by Yeon Jae Won + Soo Jeong Heo, the Xylophone Bridge consists of a series of slats that play a tune whenever a bicycle rolls over them. It’s was amazing musical bicycle bridge that encourage positive behavior is to make it fun really struck a chord with us. The designers have envisioned a series of xylophone bridges for the city of Seoul, each of which plays a different tune.
As the rider travels over the bridge, it compresses the spring and lowers the wooden slat. The slat then pushes down a lever attached to a hammer, which hits a wooden bar and turns on a colored light.
Each bar is designed to create a different note, and each harmonizes with the surrounding bars to create sweet riding music.

The Xylophone Bridge is a shortlisted entry in the Seoul Cycle Design Competition, which was organized by Designboom in collaboration with the Seoul Design Foundation.
The competition challenged designers to come up with eco-friendly ideas to foster a healthy cycle-friendly city.
