Architectural Renderings House-Spectaculer Opera House By Shipping Pallet

L’Opera Palette will be fully finished nex year. The incredible of temporary opera house that will made entirely by shipping pallets will grace the courtyard at the Music Academy of Quebec City.

Designed by Theater Architect Jacques Plante and Engineer Pascale Pierre, this opera house not only uses for arts show but also many activity.

Its design with temporary open air performance space, it will be constructed completely by shipping pallets. Its will serve as the building material, structural system, and stage too. This plan is envisioned the project as a way to re-use industrialized objects in a creative artistic context.


Jacques Plante want to make shipping pallets to be an ubiquitous object with great utility, and use it in an innovative and surprising way to create an ephemeral opera house.

The architects purpose is to create the immense architectural, aesthetic, and acoustic sound box. So, it will need to be carefully assembly since to create a space that is both aesthetically appealing and acoustically viable.

The Pallet Opera will be constructed in the summer of 2011 in the courtyard of the Music Academy of Quebec City, next to the city’s principal theater.
