The Landes-Oatey residence is clad in reclaimed fir and boasts a beautiful grass covered green roof. The house also utilizes with thermal massing technology and have large windows that stream daylight into the rooms.

The design of the house has characteristic such as ample glass openings, slatted wood surfaces and fiberglass grated decks that allow light filtration to a daylight basement.


The exterior is minimalistic and sophisticated with exposed concrete, untrimmed cedar siding and purposely imperfect recycled wood.

Structural steel columns and flying buttress-like supports add an industrial feel to the home and several areas can be used as outdoor/indoor rooms.

Other sustainable features include passive solar and thermal massing technology. The giant windows, natural look of the wood clad exterior, green roof and deck easily blend the house right into its breathtaking surroundings.
