Designed by Japan based StudioGreenBlue, Saitama Kumagaya S-House in Fukaya City has a unique window treatment pixelated, which is a design quite remarkable not only for its unique appearance, but the solutions created. While the site of the house does not offer much of a point of view, has great access to sunlight, and the house takes full advantage of this resource, while maintaining privacy and aesthetics of converting light into architecture .

Site of the house has a southern orientation that allows the passive heating, however, a large bank of windows only have offered views of a lot of gravel and neighbors' houses is monotonous. Fragmented facade of the house allows light and heat between the inside and beyond the point of view mate. All windows are awnings and open to catch the cool breeze and fresh air.

A simple interior is driven by a central kitchen with a private storage space at each end. A shed roof made of an angle to the street rises, making the house seem larger than it really is. A simple corrugated steel finishes skin minimalist facade, adding inner and outer change of texture as the sun crosses the sky.
