Architectural Renderings House-Magnificent Glass Studio Lens And A Flexible Workplace

Core77 shows us this magnificent building that serves as a studio lens and a flexible workplace for students of Kanagawa Institute of Technology. Designed by the architectural firm and Associates of Tokyo Junya Ishigami, studio glass has an open floor plan with large roof supported by columns of different sizes.

Thank you to the front of the building from floor to ceiling glass and a band of skylights in the roof light of day in this area is great, creating a spectacular place to work on design projects. The purpose of this construction is to create a place where students can come and work pada yang initiated projects themselves and the things building, but these students come and go and change project, space facts are needed.

So Ishigami and his team designed the building with an open and flexible provision is supported by 305 pillars, whose apparently random – but they spent some time analyzing the location and diameter of each pillar to create spaces of varying size. Pillar to create a vague sense of borders and partitions, but not so tight that they restrict the space.

Covers the building entirely in glass skylights above the offer unbeatable natural light – to the point where almost seems that the people who work outside all day. At night when the lights are lit, glass building shines like a diamond.

The strange thing is that glass buildings are not very common in an earthquake in Japan. In fact, Ishigami not specifically design earthquake-resistant walls, which seem totally impractical and unsustainable. While we liked the design of the building and flood of natural light, it offers, we would hate to see it end up like broken glass when the next big earthquake hits Tokyo.
