Architectural Renderings House-2.700 New Box Homes Village Of Long Tan by MVRDV

Dutch architectural firm MVRDV launch their plan to build 2.700 new homes in the area Luizhou, China. Their purpose in building a home is to protect the limestone mountains of the danger of erosion, and preserving the environmental beauty of the landscape.

Form of the houses consist of a collection of boxes put together in a natural setting by following the topographic slope. Parts of the walls and floor of the house using local stone material and every housing unit positioned along the vertical slope of the village of Long Tan which has panoramic views over the wide hills.

MVRDV carefully and accurately map the slope to decide what the most optimal plan in the mountains and at the same time protecting the environment makes an interesting layout.

MVRDV technicians come from four different zones and the technical construction which is used by each is also different. They come in four different zones and construction techniques should be used for each. First non-steep zone is by using hard stones to form a column only. Second, the steep zone using the advantages of hard rock can easily be used for engineering construction and stability with dowels.

And the third of the gap zone, this zone should be avoided because it is unstable and usually directed go to out in a new city. Finally, the bottom of the zone must be cleaned of loose rock that has the potential occurrence of hollow spaces with communal access grottos.

It is interesting and most of all is the difference favorite features designed this. The distances between houses are not just for aesthetics but contain elements of several functions. Distance of three meters between the houses and the rocks make it possible for natural ventilation and the creation of empty spaces between the boxes that make a network of streets and steps through the vertical direction of the villages.
