United States may be lost in football this weekend, but we got a tremendous victory in the European Solar decathlon in Madrid! Lumenhaus elegant geometry variables Virginia Tech won the grand prize for the most efficient solar home after ten days of competition against 16 other houses brilliant.
For ten different competitions, which continually forged ahead Lumenhaus, won 811 total points 10 000. This is a difficult battle, and the possibility that Lumenhaus “win in the competition from architecture through – they almost beat Germany at home to IKAROS!
This time, the second in a year that the Virginia Tech team has participated in Lumenhaus. Solar decathlon back to the United States in October, the team finished 13th among 20 teams with 704 points.
In the following months between October and May, the team changed and improved their overall design and even tests in Times Square before crossing the pond in Madrid. Design of Lumenhaus is fantastic and has been well received in Washington and Madrid, won first place in the architecture in a three-way game and receive a maximum of 120 points.
As a whole, but not blow Lumenhaus their competitors in nine contests. well-roundedness of victory that they brought to the home of Virginia Tech, although the University of Applied Sciences, Rosenheim on their heels with their IKAROS House and only lost by one point.
