Architectural Renderings House-Unique Design of Alta Lofts Eco Chic Retro

Alta Lofts that located in the hearts of the economically depressed East LA neighborhood of Lincoln Heights. Its a best example for how hard and long time will be needed to finished a green project building. This project has been struggling for over than 8 years to complete.

But now, the Alta Lofts are finally finished and ready to offer sustainable living for a revitalized community. Its designed by Pugh-Scarpa Architects, its was a wonderfull renovation 1920-era building that mix the clasical style with LA retro style.

The renovation work on the roof design, so the original body is still intact with the new and modern tops. With two roof gardens, a walkway system, and courtyard, allow pedestrians to walked throughout the building. Its create a sense of community for the occupant.


An atrium courtyard was introduced into the heart of the building to provide natural lighting and send breezes deep into the interior. It also provide heat pumps to heating and cooling and low-flow water devices and xeriscape gardens keep water consumption low.

The 158,000 square foot project offers 102 live-work spaces in addition to commercial and retail areas. A new train station is also built nearby.

This building originally intended to be low-income housing by the developer, since the economic downturn put the project on hold last year. The new developers are expecting completion the project soon with prices ranging from $200k to $500k.
